A NOTE FROM THE CITY SEXTON

A NOTE FROM THE CITY SEXTON
Public Notice:  The Elko Cemetery crew will be mowing the grounds and tidying up from Memorial Day beginning Monday, June 1.  We ask that ALL memorials be placed ON the individual's headstone.  This includes artificial flowers, shepherd hooks, and solar lights stuck in the ground NEXT to the headstone.  There are only two hardworking, caring employees for the 14 acres of the City Cemetery.  The upkeep is very labor intensive and we ask for the public's cooperation.  (I take care of my own family's decorations this very same way.)  We're all doing the best we can.  Thanks, Jan Petersen, City of Elko Sexton.
